In my eyes, to be a good friend is to always be there to help you out when you're in problems. They also wouldn't encourage you to do bad things or things you really don't want to do. I think friendship changes as we get older because the older we get, the more mature people become. I'm friends with the people I am friends with because they have these attributes, they're always there to help me and support/respect whatever it is that I do.
